Jax Taylor Shares Update on His Sobriety & Son Cruz’s Autism Diagnosis (Exclusive)
Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's divorce has gotten nastier than fans could have imagined.
Brittany shared new details about a volatile incident with her estranged husband that turned violent during The Valley's season two premiere.
The altercation erupted after Jax discovered text messages between Brittany and his friend Julian, whom Brittany had a fling with after their separation last year.
"I come home and he is on my iPad," Brittany recounted to costar Michelle Saniei during the Bravo series' April 15 episode. "He went through and read them all. I sent a sexy video and Jax saw it. I mean, we were separated, whatever. He flips the coffee table and it hit my knee. It turns black immediately."
"I'm like, 'Oh my God! Oh my God!' Screaming, crying," the Vanderpump Rules alum continued. "It was terrifying. 'You're cheating on me! You're cheating on me! You're still talking to him!'"
The 36-year-old noted Jax's explosion was hypocritical given that "he's been hooking up with girls" since their split.
When it came to Jax's side of the story, he attempted to explain his outburst was partly due to the fact that they had talked about possibly reconciling.
"She was planning on moving back into my home, but yet sending inappropriate images," the 45-year-old told Danny Booko. "Like, what? She told me, 'Let's work on our marriage,' and then I see that she's still texting this guy."
In a confessional, Jax—who shares 4-year-old son Cruz with Brittany—added, "We did say that we could hook up with other people, that was part of the deal. But a friend?! Come on. Julian and I were friends. We were hanging out all the time. Meanwhile, she's still hooking up with him and I had no idea."

The worst part? The violent altercation occurred just steps away from Cruz.
"I went full f--king unhinged, rage," he continued to tell Danny. "It was bad. I've gotten angry before but that's the worst it's ever gotten. Cruz was in the other room. Thank God he didn't see anything."
The fight left Brittany increasingly skeptical about Jax's parenting.
"His rages and everything have gotten so much worse," she told Michelle. "I cannot let Cruz be around him by himself."
Still, Jax insisted Brittany moving on with his friend was too much to handle.
"I don't have an answer for you, what I did was wrong," he noted in a confessional. "I lost all control. I saw red. I had an out-of-body experience. But show me a guy who wouldn't handle the situation the way I handled it."
Brittany wasn’t the only costar rattled by the incident. The whole cast was in shock, especially his longtime Bravo costar Kristen Doute.
"No one's saying that Jax Taylor is an all-around good guy," the VPR alum reacted in a confessional. "I've seen him treat his girlfriends in the past like s--t. I've seen him cheat, I've seen him have anger issues. But I've never seen anything like what he did to Brittany."
See the breakup drama continue to play out when The Valley airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
