- Levels
- The game has 50 levels.
- You start at Level 1.
- Each time you start the game again, you can start from the beginning or continue from the last level you left off.
- Levels are timed with a 5 minute limit & a piece removal goal.
- Basic rules
- Match 3 or more candy jewels of the same color to
- Remove all the gray-colored brick cells to clear the level.
- If no valid moves remain on the board the tiles will automatically shuffle.
- If you run out of time you lose the level, but can continue an unlimited number of times.
- Power ups
- Each time you clear a row of 4 or more gems, you gain a power up.
- A vertical row of 4 yields a horizontal power up.
- A horizontal row of 4 yields a vertical power up.
- A T-shaped row of five (two rows that share a common jewel) will yield a plus-sign (+) power up.
- A row of 5 will yield a rainbow jewel.
- Power-ups are activated on a subsequent turn whenever you move them.
- You do not need to create a valid run of 3 or more to move a power-up tile.
- Every power up has a different bonus.
- Power ups with lines will clear horizontal or vertical rows when used (clearing in the direction the lines point).
- Power ups with a plus-sign pattern will clear both a horizontal and vertical row simultaneously.
- Rainbow jewels will remove all the jewels of the color it swaps places with.
- Each time you clear a row of 4 or more gems, you gain a power up.
- Block toughness
- Sometimes, you must clear several rows on a block to remove it.
- Paler blocks are tougher than dark gray blocks and will take 1 or 2 rows to clear.
- Some jewels cannot be moved but can still be used in rows. To unfreeze them or unlock their chains, they must become part of a valid set of 3 in a row, or you must use a power tile which impacts that row, column, or color.
- Blocks with chains will take 1 or 2 rows cleared to unlock. You cannot clear the game until these are unlocked. If blocks have a set of chains along the bottom they require 1 match to unlock & if they have a second set of chains they require 2 matches.
- Jewels in ice cannot be moved but aren’t necessarily in blocks. They are removed the same way as blocks with chains.
- You can break the chains on a block or unfreeze a block
- Scoring
- You can 5 points for each second you have remaining at the end of each level.
- Each tile you remove from the playing field is worth 3 points, with longer sequences providing a combo bonus.
- If you have many high power tiles on the board and the time limit has plenty of time to run you may want to use up your power tiles before finishing the level.
- In some cases you can use a power tile right as the level is beat and have points continue to accrue even though the level clock is stopped.
- Strategy
- As you get to higher levels it can be hard to move tiles into certain areas and make combos due to board design.
- When tiles are hard to work with directly due to level design you can try to make runs of 4 or 5 from afar and then use the special tiles to do damage to the frozen tiles or locked tiles in hard to reach areas.
- When you move the special tiles you do not need to complete a run of 3 and can move them to an adjacent row or column you want to do damage to if the row or column they are in are not the one you would like to damage.
- You can also make sets near them first to adjust their position before using them.
- Levels
- Target Audience
